Logo for Jewish Care VIC

An exciting and engaging volunteer opportunity is available at Jewish Care’s new state of the art Aged Care Home in Windsor every Monday and Wednesday from 10am - 3pm. Based in the beautiful and contemporary setting of the Hannah and Daryl Cohen Family Building on Punt Road, this role is perfect for a friendly, well-presented, organised and reliable people-person.

You will be positioned at the front desk and, with the support of Jewish Care’s reception staff, you will meet and greet visitors, and assist them with 'way-finding' within and around the building. They may be meeting a loved one in the peaceful library or airy courtyard, arriving for an appointment, delivering a package, or visiting a beloved Elder in their aged care home. You will know your way around the building and be able to guide and assist each visitor with your friendly and professional manner.

You will be an excellent communicator in English, and if you also speak Russian, that will be highly regarded. You will also be able to assist with any basic front desk administration that may be required.

Jewish Care will provide you with the necessary training, orientation and ongoing support that you need. Relevant screening and police checks will be conducted during the on boarding process.

Volunteers are an integral and highly valued part of our organisation. If you are a looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community, we would love to hear from you.

Jewish Care proudly celebrates and warmly welcomes the rich diversity of our community and strives to be inclusive for all, including the LGBTI+ community.
