Sourcing new volunteers. Liaising with staff to identify their volunteer needs ie events, education. Keeping in contact with volunteers and ensuring they attend their rostered hours. Applying for Bluecards when needed. Organise social events/outings for volunteers. Organising volunteer shirts/name tags etc. Ensuring volunteers have clear position description and understand expectations. Undertake new volunteer interviews. Undertake new volunteer inductions. Share good news stories on volunteer Facebook page. Ensure volunteers have the resources needed to undertake their tasks. Make sure volunteer induction booklet is up-to-date.
This position requires a volunteer who works well with others and is supportive and caring. They need to have good communication skills and be willing to listen. Our volunteers work across a wide range of portfolios and our volunteer coordinator will need to maintain connection with each volunteer and ensure they are achieving outcomes.
