The Schools and Youth Coordinator is responsible for engaging schools and young people to attend the Sunshine Coast Relay For Life. You will support school and youth teams, educating them on Cancer Council Queensland’s mission, fundraising ideas and events to encourage our next generation of fundraisers.
Relay For Life raises vital funds for research, prevention, information and support services. It is a chance for the community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, patients, and their carers, as well as honour loved ones lost to cancer.
We are looking for a person with the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
Well-developed communication skills, both written and spoken. - -
Demonstrated ability to lead and work as a team.
Outgoing, friendly and ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Highly developed time management and organisational skills.
The ideal volunteer will be available 1-2 hours per week. It is estimated that there will be one committee meeting per month, with frequency increasing closer to the Relay For Life date.
