Everyone knows someone who has had cancer and the many challenges they face. These challenges are always harder when you don’t have the support you need.
As a CanCare Navigator you provide company, comfort and support, while helping to resolve ‘barriers’ to treatment and organising ‘practical’ help. You also join our community of volunteers to help those in need.
As a CanCare Navigator you join our FREE one-day training program, learning more about cancer, the health system and the skills you’ll need for your new role. You will then be supported by the Coordinator and your team in your role, and have access to further training opportunities along with the peer-support and experience of existing volunteers.
Time Commitment: The role is very flexible. You can volunteer at a time and place that is convenient for you and the person you are supporting, and is often for just a few hours a week.
Benefit: This is a rewarding role where your support, often for just a few hours a week makes a real difference.
