Community Transport Support - Drivers, Jockeys and Companions

Connect Health & Community

Are you a good driver? Would you like to use this skill to assist others? Do you have some spare time?

Volunteer drivers and jockeys are needed by this community organisation to assist in transporting frail aged and disadvantaged people to appointments and activities. The vehicles used are mini buses and cars. Training and on-going support provided. No special licence is required. Volunteers must be 18 years and over and if driving, have a minimum of 7 years’ experience. Police Check, medical check and driver assessment organised (the medical check is a form to be signed by the volunteer's GP attesting to their fitness to perform the task). Both regular or occasional assistance are welcomed. The roles are Centrelink approved for eligible participants.
