Grants Manager - NFP supporting children from refugee backgrounds

Australian Refugee Volunteer Inc. (ARV) hold monthly programs and run a range of fun and exciting events for children from a refugee or asylum seeker background. Our most recent program involved attending the annual ‘Sculpture by the Sea’, a cycling scavenger hunt, ice skating, bubble soccer, a drama workshop, science experiments, kayaking and a circus skills workshop.

Responsibilities ● Lead and co-ordinate the Grants Team in identifying funding opportunities and drafting grant applications ● Work closely with Treasury and the President to stay up to date with current funding levels for each program ● Oversee the drafting and submission of acquittal reports at the end of a funding period ● Attend a monthly admin day (can be every other month)

Essential Attributes ● Motivation and Commitment – we are seeking people who can commit to this role for at least 12 months ● Good organisational skills ● Highly motivated, positive and proactive, with the ability to work autonomously ● Good communication – you will be working closely with two other co-managers ● Highly effectively interpersonal, written and oral communications skills ● Ability to manage information and work with data ● Ability to understand, adhere to and identify areas of improvement in processes and procedures ● Ability to work with web-based programs such as Zoom and Google Drive ● Interest in learning about our organisation and attending our monthly programs

Desired Attributes ● Experience writing/assessing grant applications ● Driver’s License and Vehicle ● Able to use web-based tools such as Skype, Google Drive / Documents
