Upskilling our older population in the use of iPads will enable them to keep in touch with friends and family, share photos, do online banking and shopping, email, play games and access online entertainment or brain-training apps, and more.
Our volunteers will be provided with training, which will be a fun learning experience that will give you the skills to support clients as they learn how to navigate online services and resources. You will learn not only how to upskill clients in the use of the iPad, but also how to create a safe and fun learning experience for our clients too.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has great communication skills, lots of patience, a friendly disposition and understanding of the elderly, is comfortable using digital technology, and can be trusted with confidential information.
We are looking for volunteers in the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Logan, Caboolture and North Brisbane areas. This role will require travel, but Be offers reimbursement for all kilometres travelled. This role will be performed on an ad hoc basis and there is flexibility for days and times.
