Youth Frontiers is a NSW Government Youth Mentoring Program targeting students between 12-16 years, who have the capacity to benefit from youth mentoring that focuses on positive relationship development, leadership & community engagement. A great opportunity to make a difference to the life of a young person. Meet other like-minded adults, learn new skills and contribute to your community while having lots of fun.
Mentors will be matched with an individual student/s and together they will take part in mentoring 1-2 hours a week of 1-3 young people over a period of 6-15 weeks (Depending on the school’s requirements). This can be online or face to face.
The program gives volunteers an opportunity to build life skills & self-confidence by working collaboratively with their mentors, students to undertake a community project that make a positive difference in their local community.
Mentors do not require previous experience-just a desire to want to support young people to reach their potential and an ability to commit to volunteering 1-2 hours each week over a 6 month period during school hours.
