The Volunteer Grant writer is primarily responsible for sourcing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations alongside other grant writers. There is also the opportunity to persuasively communicate Gunawirra’s mission and programs to potential organisations, funders and donors.
Reporting to the CEO at Gunawirra, the Grant Writer will write grant applications, propose a budget and compile interim reports and providing evidence of meeting grant requirements through acquittals reporting and maintain a calendar of submissions and contacts. Your understanding of the organisation's programs and objectives will feed into your grant applications.
This role is flexible and can be done from home to a large extent and it is project based in nature.
