During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is socially isolated we would love to hear from you!
Joan* enjoys cross stitch, reading, and jigsaw puzzles! She lives in Hoppers Crossing and is looking for a volunteer to support her to achieve her social goals. Joan* is looking for a vibrant, engaging volunteer with an ability to talk on any number of topics. A shared interest in cross stitch would be beneficial.
The role will involve providing fortnightly visits to Joan* at her home to share refreshments, lively conversation and possibly her interest in cross stitch. A love of dogs is a must! Well-developed communication skills and the skills and confidence to work independently are essential. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.
