During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. This unique opportunity will appeal to an applicant with interest in assisting in the facilitation of a men’s lunch group meeting at 'The Coach', Ringwood on a fortnightly basis. The group provides participants with a recreational outlet, support network and an opportunity to meet like-minded people. The role will draw on your group facilitation skills while supporting people to build valuable connections and enjoy group activities as part of their social goals.
The selected applicant will have effective communication skills and demonstrate confidence to facilitate and support group discussion and participation. Be prepared to use your own vehicle to provide transport assistance to clients who may require the use of a four wheel walker/single point stick for mobility. You must have respect for diversity and foster positive interaction and discussion between participants in the group. Current driver’s license and road worthy vehicle essential.
