Within our Migration Support Program, this volunteer role will support the delivery of our Safety Net and Emergency Relief Support program. This role will involve reviewing applications and responding to enquiries from people on a temporary visa in Australia who are currently in financial hardship due to COVID-19 as well as referrals from other community service organizations.
Have sensitive and empathetic discussions with clients by reviewing their applications on our web portal (Dynamics 365) noting if they have incomplete information. Respond to clients via email, and accurately enter their information into the Red Cross client case management system (CCM). You will have the opportunity to undertake training and participate in meetings as required. You will be required to maintain privacy and confidentiality whilst maintaining a safe work environment and following reporting protocols.
Working as part of a remote team with the support of Red Cross staff, you will use your strong computer, communication skills and ability to relate to people in difficult circumstances; to deliver our Safety Net and Emergency Relief Support program.
