Since Karuna began, volunteers have played a significant role in our organisation's success. They are important members of the Karuna team and historically have given their time generously year in year out contributing to Karuna’s work at Karuna House, at events and in the community ultimately supporting the families in our care.
Our grounds person volunteer will attend to our gardening and small maintenance needs and may be asked to back fill our regular lawn mowing team to cover leave or help during peak times to simply lighten the load. All equipment and PPE will be provided.
This volunteer will need to be physically able to do a little bit of lifting and bending as they may be asked to help with: • weeding; • trimming and pruning; • gentle shaping of hedges; • maintaining watering schedule; • removal of dead plants; • mowing; and • cleaning.
A love of gardening or experience in maintenance would be considered an advantage. If you are interested in becoming an important member of Karuna’s “Grounds” team, we would be delighted to hear from you with a brief outline of your gardening and maintenance experience.
