The CVS is seeking volunteers who may speak either Russian, Greek, Italian, Turkish, Croatian or German - to visit older residents either in their own homes or in an Aged Care Facility around Bayside, Kingston and Frankston.

A Community Visitor is a Volunteer who is matched with a person living in their own home or Aged Care Facility who may be lonely or isolated and who visits on a regular basis to provide friendship and companionship.

Visits can be spent doing something both the resident and the volunteer enjoy - reading, listening to music, chatting, play a game and reminiscing or going for a walk or other outing.

We ask that volunteers commit to visiting for up to one hour once a fortnight, as a minimum (but you can visit more often if you like). We also ask that potential volunteers consider making the commitment for at least 12 months.

Please apply now to make a difference to an isolated senior resident.
