The role will support the busy team at our Gilles Plains office, by assisting with a range of important tasks supporting the programs we run, including digital filing, record keeping, updating documents and databases. This is a longer-term volunteering role, and the applicant must be comfortable with technology and learning new systems.

The role provides full-service reception and office duties including:

  • Creating a welcoming environment for people attending the Centre and responding to their enquiries
  • Responding to telephone enquiries and requests for assistance, providing general information as appropriate
  • Completing general administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing and data entry
  • Assisting with special projects such as the preparation of Newsletters if required
  • Completing other relevant duties as requested

If you have moderate to advanced computer skills, preferably an interest, appreciation or background in Information Technology and are keen to take on non-standard administrative roles, this could be a volunteering challenge you would enjoy. If IT has not been your specialty but you are keen to learn new skills your application would also be greatly appreciated.
