Bicycles for Humanity Melbourne is a voluntary, not-for- profit organisation that collects disused bicycles and ships them to communities in need. The bicycles change lives forever by improving basic mobility for access to health care and education and increasing economic productivity. The container then becomes a pre-built bicycle workshop providing employment opportunities.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Campaign manager to join our Marketing and Communications team to design and implement on the Marketing and Campaign strategy.
Your role will see you collaborating with all areas of the organisation to drive awareness, increase engagement and support fundraising activities and events.
Our social media, communications and marketing team is looking to build on our current reach. You will have the opportunity to expand our existing supporter base, reaching new areas and people for awareness, support and growth.
Your energy and enthusiasm to enable further growth, to achieve our targets, and work flexibly to support our committee will be highly regarded and warmly welcomed. Depending on your skill and experience, you may be offered a role on the Committee.
Bicycles for Humanity is located in Melbourne, VIC. Your volunteering location is flexible; work online from wherever you are.
This role will require people to: · Develop and implement our marketing and campaign strategy · Write, design and disseminate eDM campaigns, communicating and promoting Bicycles for Humanity, and assisting with fundraising targets · Assist with relevant marketing and communications, administration and reporting, including traffic management, eDM campaign enquiries and tracking impact.
Key responsibilities (may be shared to manage workloads): · Develop and deliver on our marketing strategy · Implement marketing campaigns e.g., our annual fundraiser "Melbourne to Namibia", and scope others as required to increase sponsorship, support and sustainable giving · Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals. · Design online, digital and print collateral and campaign materials, including eDMs, event flyers, posters, corporate publications, fundraising campaign collateral and digital marketing adverts and assets (such as banners, tiles and web advertisements) · Refresh key messages and work with our Social Media team to support and align with other channels such as Facebook and our Website
Key Skills Required: · Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people · Highly developed written and oral communication skills · Demonstrated experience in digital communications and marketing across a diverse range of channels · Campaign management utilising Salesforce (current platform) and Mailchimp · Ability to direct and guide a team where required to support marketing activities · Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and Teams · Enthusiastic about helping to achieve Bicycles for Humanity’s key goals
Desirable Skills · Ability to use Salesforce as an effective CRM is highly desirable · A strong background in stakeholder management, project planning, strategic marketing and evaluation measures. · Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative and flexibility · Experience working with community groups and other NFPs or charities
