The Grants Writer is responsible for researching, applying for and gaining available Grants to enable the development of new projects, programs and services for Little Things for Tiny Tots. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical writing skills and gain experience with developing funding strategies whilst supporting a local charity. Experience with sponsorship funding or collecting major donations is highly desirable although not necessary.

Grant Writer Job Responsibilities:

Identify suitable grant opportunities and maintain a calendar/schedule for applications. Maintain a register of committee-approved grant projects or proposal concepts and relevant details. Prepare grant proposals by connecting project/concept to the most appropriate grant, gather and format required supporting information, write drafts, and obtain approvals prior to submission. Determine proposal concept by liaising with committee to identify opportunities and needs and then connecting to the grant proposal requirements and terms. Meet grant proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal. Enter and monitor tracking data and optimise the tracking process. Coordinate requirements with contributors and forward information and status information to Partnerships and Sustainability Coordinator for review at committee meetings. Ensure a minimum of 3-5 grant proposals are submitted monthly (minimum value $5,000). Collaborate effectively with the Partnerships and Sustainability Coordinator to deliver strategic organisational goals.
