We know it’s important to stay socially connected with family, friends and community groups.
Our Residential Aged Care Residence, Costa House, delivers a range of services to meet residents’ health and lifestyle needs while providing opportunities for choice and independence. We are proud to host over 100 volunteers across varied roles that assist staff to deliver personalised care and support on a daily basis.
The Care Farm at Costa House is open every day and available for all residents and visitors to enjoy. The Care Farm is home to a Shetland Pony, Sheep, Chickens, and Ducks. The animals provide a calm and therapeutic environment for our residents to appreciate.
Our Volunteer Care Farm Animal Assistants assist the Care Farm Supervisor, to maintain the health and well-being of our Care Farm animals and develop and maintain the Care Farm gardens at Costa House, in order to add to the Lifestyle and well-being of residents and visitors to the facility.
Volunteers commit to a regular day shift through the week, and are supported by a Care Farm Worker who provides initial training.
