About us

CASS (established in 1981) provides a comprehensive range of community services and activities in a wide geographical area which currently covers the Metropolitan Sydney and Wollongong. It serves Chinese, Koreans, Indonesians, Vietnamese and other people in the general community as well. At present, more than 3,500 families access its services and activities weekly.

Location: Campsie / West Ryde

Days: Flexible days available, 4:00pm to 5:30pm,

About the role

Are you studying in Australia? Did you achieve an above-average result in the HSC? Do you wish to utilize your spare time to help children of migrant communities?

CASS is establishing a “Youth Support Program” with the aim to support children from disadvantaged families to receive equal educational opportunities, helping them to better integrate into the mainstream community.

This is one-to-one mentoring and homework support program. You will have opportunities to provide Bilingual support to newly arrived young people and their families.

The suitable volunteer will have the following attributes:

  • Studying in Australia and is able to speak simple Mandarin/Cantonese.
  • Attended high school in Australia and has completed the HSC.
  • Strong communication skills and patience.
