The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for building & maintaining a solid competent infrastructure that supports the entire Relay For Life from beginning to end.
You will gain valuable experience in event planning and logistics related tasks. The volunteer will have the opportunity to participate in all CCQ volunteer activities: educational, social and informational.

The Duties of the Logistics Coordinator include (but are not limited to)

  • Attend Committee/Subcommittee meetings

  • Recruit committee members to assist with logistics and meet with them regularly

  • Liaise with all committee members to ensure all requirements of the event are planned for and met on the day

  • Obtain necessary contracts and permits

  • Prepare site map

  • Arrange for traffic control/parking

  • Assign & manage on the day volunteers for set up and clean up

  • Obtain other logistical needs such as but not limited to - stage, sound, marquees, secure tables, chairs and electricity

  • Determine the lighting requirements & electrical needs

  • Participate in event planning sessions as required

  • Recognise and thank supporters

  • Have consideration for OH&S regulations at all times

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and organising complex events

  • Highly organised, ability to roster and schedule logistical needs

  • Strong supervisory experience

  • Detail oriented

  • Clear verbal/ written communication skills

  • Demonstrated diplomacy and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
