Uniting Ballarat Emergency Relief has an exciting opportunity for volunteers to assist in a refurbished Centre which assists vulnerable members of the community assisting with food, showers, clothes washing, material and financial aid support.
The reception/emergency relief volunteer will need to liaise with various people including consumers that present to the Emergency Relief Centre for support.
Some of the duties required of the volunteer:
Greeting all visitors into the Centre, answering calls and making appointments as required Support welfare worker and consumers through the process Maintaining the reception and food pantry areas with supplies Handing out supplies as required by consumers Direct consumers to services and assist Adhoc administration duties including data entry Keeping a safe and clean environment Pickups from various outlets as required.
