Would you like to work with other volunteers to support socially isolated people in the community?
The Community Singing Group is an informal way for people to interact socially and to be involved in the love of singing.
The role includes driving your own car to transport people for Community Singing and fostering a friendly and inclusive environment to enable social connections between those in the group.
The Community Singing Program is held weekly on Tuesday afternoons between 1.30pm and 3.30pm in the Old School Building in Victor Harbor.
Time commitment: 3 hours weekly
A passion for singing in a group environment is desirable.
Key tasks (may include):
Facilitate and/or assist CNP group program
May be required to pick up clients from their home for activity and take them home
Organise afternoon tea for the session
Keep a record of attendees
Arrange materials and plan program of activities
Welcome and support new members to the group – including referring ‘visitors” to
CNP staff to discuss registration.
Collect donations for the program and deposit at Council for CNP.
Support and work as a team with other volunteers assisting with the group
Inform CNP staff of any cancellations, issues or incidents at the program
Attend mandatory training and any other specified training opportunities
Attend regular meetings to contribute ideas and feedback about the program and its
