Jake* enjoys Kayo, and especially enjoys football (Hawthorn) and soccer, reading and spending time in the garden. He's also a great lover of the Berwick Botanical gardens and spending time with his grandchildren. Jake* would be best suited to an engaging, positive, respectful, empathetic and motivating volunteer. You will support and encourage Jake* to achieve his social goals and creatively reconnect with his interests.
Practical communication skills and a willingness to share home and community-based visits are essential. Outings may include going for a walk around the local gardens on occasion as well as sharing coffee and conversation at his home. You will have a valid driver’s license and your own car to transport Jake* in during visits. The skills and confidence to work independently are a must. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.
