The role of the Programme Committee is to: • Develop an engaging and relevant conference theme to present to the Conference Organising Committee • Propose potential speakers for virtual and in-person presentations. • Propose engaging session concepts to ensure the conference is appealing to a variety of audiences. • Liaise with AMaGA National Networks and Special Interest Groups to include them in programming. • Propose engaging activities, site visits and ‘add ons’ for attendees. • Update the Conference Committee on speaker selection.
Programme Committee Co-Chair Responsibilities • Share lead of the Programme Committee to contribute to a successful conference. • Share chairing of monthly Programme Committee meetings (virtual or in person). • Provide direction to the Programme Committee members and Conference Organising Committee regarding selection of speakers, presentations and activities. • Liaise with the WA Branch and ConLog for administrative support. • Provide reports to the Conference Organising Committee to contribute to conference planning in general. • Review and evaluate abstracts to inform speaker selection. • Contribute to the evaluation and post-conference review.
