Volunteers will assist young multicultural refugee women who do not have the ability through their family to achieve their log-book hours or cannot afford driving lessons.

The volunteers should to be:

  • Understanding and valuing of diversity
  • open-minded
  • calm
  • supportive and reliable
  • able to dedicated 2 or more hours per week to the program
  • Female volunteers are encouraged to apply

Volunteers need to ensure a safe and nurturing environment and should be a positive adult role model, encouraging safe, lawful, and responsible driving for young people.

The Program provides all resources required, including new, fully insured and safety modified vehicles, fuel cards. The Volunteer should be available for driving lessons at least once a week to ensure learners have access to regular lessons to build on their driving skills and confidence. Volunteers will be provided an induction, support and training conduct their role confidently. Volunteers who can commit hours during weekdays are encouraged to apply.
