Key Responsibilities This is an exciting opportunity for the voluntary position of Local Manager with the Merredin SES Unit. The primary role is to lead and manage a volunteer-based emergency service in the preparation, prevention, response and recovery to natural hazards emergencies within WA.
What you need to bring to this role. Simply put, to be successful in this role you will need to be a people person. A natural leader, you will have good communication, interpersonal, conflict management and facilitation skills.
You will also have the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including local government, police and others, and reside in the Merredin area.
It is not a requirement that you are already a registered DFES volunteer to apply for this position. If successful, a membership application will be completed and full training will be provided at no cost.
