The Office Assistant/Scheduler responds to telephone and email enquiries from the public and member agencies. Usually this is an offer of furniture and / or other household goods that requires a collection to be organised or a request from a Member agency for a client to select nominated household items.
The position is shared by 2-3 volunteers over the week using the same standardized processes.
Scheduling of pickups of donated items and visits of agency staff and clients to warehouse to select and/or take delivery of agreed goods. As requested, assist with scheduling all volunteer inputs and maintaining database of volunteers and their availability.
The people we are looking for will be available to help on an ongoing weekly basis.
Unfortunately this role is not suitable for students wanting only a semester long experience or anyone else looking for a short term commitment.
