Set 'In the Canefields' in what was once Pimpama Island, the hall (Community Centre) is a historic building, built by locals in 1917 as a meeting place and dance hall to service the community.

Roles here are many and varied, if you are able to help we have something you can do.

We pride ourselves on the presentation of our heritage building, and on the quality of the food and service. We aim to fill a gap in the market with a local offering that is both special and affordable. None of this is possible without our dedicated volunteers.

Additional kitchen and wait staff are urgently needed to join our team. Some roles may need food handling certificates or an RSA. For those who have an interest in either area we are happy to help with these. Our group works together as a team, so it can be a great opportunity for social interaction, and to gain some skills within the hospitality and event industries, and is generally very rewarding. This role will suit a variety of volunteers, those looking for experience and those looking for social interaction. Age is no barrier. Likewise it caters for both those who have a few hours occasionally as well as those who have a requirement of 15 hours a week volunteering.

We are also looking for help each Mondays and Tuesdays with Munchys, which includes people happy to cook on the BBQ, or make coffee, or help with set up or pack down. Mondays and Tuesdays are also the days we do our general stock and maintenance, if you would prefer that type of opportunity.
