We are a volunteer-based, not-for-profit, sporting club whose mission is to provide affordable, active, and healthy participation opportunities to the local community.
The important role of the Secretary is to support the committee, volunteers, and members at the Officer Tennis Club to be successful in our mission.
This volunteer role reports to the Club President and will require approximately 10-15 hours per week.
A Working With Children Check will be required for the successful applicant.
Desirable Attributes: • Strong organisational skills • Ability to communicate effectively • Good computer skills • Experience in a similar role
Administrative duties include (but are not limited to): • Primary contact for Club general enquiries, court hire, schools and all bookings. • Maintain Committee and Club records. • Monitor incoming correspondence/mail and when necessary, distribute to relevant committee members for action. • Complete meeting administration tasks including preparation of meeting attendees, minutes, and agenda. • Develop meeting agendas in consultation with other committee members and distribute prior to the meeting. • Communication to members on behalf of the Committee. • Attendance to monthly Club Committee meetings. • Other ad hoc administrative duties.
