We are a volunteer-based, not-for-profit, sporting club whose mission is to provide affordable, active, and healthy participation opportunities to the local community.

The Junior Co-ordinator role works collaboratively with our Team Managers, junior players and parents/guardians to coordinate relevant competitions, as well as to assist the Tennis Development Co-ordinator to innovate in the delivery of tennis wherever possible.

This volunteer role reports to the Tennis Development Co-ordinator and will require approximately 6-10 hours per week.

A Working With Children Check will be required for the successful applicant.

Desirable Attributes: • Ability to communicate effectively • Good organisational skills • Ability to motivate others • Experience working in the tennis industry and/or currently playing or has played competitive level tennis.

Duties include (but are not limited to): • Liaise closely with the Tennis Development Co-ordinator, Team Managers, junior players and parents/guardians. • Point of contact for competition enquiries, team selection, and entries. • Oversee and support Team Managers ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. • Liaise with the Secretary for Team Manager administration support. • Promote player pathways. • Member engagement, including participation with members and watching and analysing juniors. • Administration duties including email and phone contact with team managers and parents/guardians. • Club representative for Tennis Association meetings and AGMs where possible. • Ensure that information e.g. competition results are recorded on time, are accurate, and forwarded to the Club Secretary. • Attendance to bi-monthly Club Committee meetings required.
