Uniting Emergency Relief Centre in Broadmeadows has an exciting opportunity for volunteers to assist vulnerable members of the community through the collection and delivery of donated items to the centre.

Our Emergency Relief centres provide a helping hand in difficult times by assisting with food, material, other services and financial aid support.

We're looking for motivated volunteers committed to supporting and improving the lives of vulnerable people in the community. If you are good communicator, have regular ongoing availability and a positive can-do attitude, we would like to hear from you. You will be required to lift and transport boxes of up to 15 kilos. Safety equipment such as gloves and trolleys will be provided.

Knowledge and understanding of the factors impacting on the well being of individuals, families and communities will be highly valued.

Some of the duties required of a volunteer:

Pickup of donated food and material aid Packing food and storing in the centre; Other adhoc duties as required.

A current drivers license is required and an Uniting vehicle will be supplied for pickups.
