Operations Support Lead

iDareU supports and helps people with disabilities and their families navigate all things to do with the NDIS, provides NDIS support coordination, provides other advocacy needs, training and provide any practical guidance they need.

As a newly established role at iDareU, the Operations Support Lead will work as part of a small team within a busy not for profit that supports persons with a disability and their carers to understand and access the National Disability Insurance Scheme. We also provide Support Coordination, training and advocacy.

The role provides overall guidance and support to the iDareU team to prioritise and perform daily operations.


• Schedule and book in meetings for the Team to conduct sessions with clients • Manage the inbox and delegate issues to Team members • Generate invoices and follow up payments as well as administer payment processing and banking • Assistance for payment of on-going expenses • Gathering information required by Team for running the business • Resolve department day to day issues with clients, colleagues and 3rd parties • Administrative assistance to CEO in gathering information for scheduled Board meetings and meetings with clients • Minute taking, document processing, email and records management and liaison with internal and external stakeholders • Telephone contact with clients for scheduledsessions as well as follow up meetings • Assist with the delivery of team projects and activities as defined within the Business Plan • Ensuring that all client enquiries are resolved in a time frame that meets established service level • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external clients • Assist in the development of reports, fact sheets and other tools that can be used both internally and externally to support clients • Be able to step in to guide or manage the iDareU staff members in the CEO’s absence • Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality in all relationships both internal and external.

EXPERIENCE: To be successful, you will need:

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role demonstrating ‘on the ground’ results (preferably in an operational, service or project environment) • Strong organisational skills and ability to react to suit operational support requirements, must be able to organise time effectively and prioritise tasks to cope with fluctuating workloads • Able to work on own initiative, make effective decisions and work effectively as part of a team • Show initiative, problem solving and resourcefulness • Strong organisational skills including demonstrated ability to ascertain and juggle competing priorities, executing a large number of tasks in an efficient and organised manner, and a high level of attention to detail • A positive, mature attitude and strong work ethic • Strong writing skills and demonstrated experience in drafting effective approval applications, letters, grants, reports and other correspondence. • Excellent communication skills, professional telephone, email and interpersonal skills • Proficiency in implementing and working with administrative and basic financial management processes, including payroll, plus developing and working to internal controls and processes • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook), general computer and touch-typing skills, and ability to create (desirable) and maintain detailed spreadsheets • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of and experience with Xero and Mailchimp • High level of accuracy in checking and processing information • Aptitude in learning and using new computer programs, systems, administration and management of data and outputs • Ability to form good relationships with colleagues, clients and government bodies. • Ideally have a basic knowledge of the NDIS and how it works – or have experience living or working in the disability sector.

This role is predominately office-based however from time-to-time, you may be required to support the team onsite at fundraising events. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing not for profit.
