Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love. Whatever ‘living life to the fullest’ looks like for them, we support them to make it happen.

May* is a thoughtful and caring person who has become frustrated with her limitations due to a health condition. She'd like a volunteer to visit her to provide some company and conversation. These visits will take place at May's home due to her mobility issues. May would prefer a female volunteer, who is available any weekday afternoon. To be successful in this role you must have practical communication skills,and the confidence to work independently.

As a valued member of the social support team you will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, meet new people and develop new skills. You'll receive support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. Volunteer to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.
