No Interest Loans (NILs) Volunteers

NILs volunteers are required to:

  • have a good understanding of basic financial literacy
  • strong communication and engagement skills
  • respond to NILs enquiries, and arrange appointments with clients
  • prepare and submit loan applications to be assessed by the Loan Provider
  • refer clients to other services such as financial counselling, if appropriate
  • maintain clients' files with collated paperwork, documents and notes
  • follow up with questions about submitted NILs loans applications as required

  • Tertiary students seeking more experience in Financial Capability work


  • Current DHS Working with Children Check or willing to have an application submitted

This role is based at our Central Office in Bowden however some off-site work may be required.
