Our vision is that all children, young people and families in Macarthur are safe, resilient, healthy and happy. We work with and empower families with children, and young people to build and sustain safe and healthy environments and support their personal, social and educational development so that they can achieve their full potential in society.
We have a particular focus on targeted early intervention services and specialise in providing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and youth in the Macarthur area.
The Board The role of the Board is to provide strategic guidance and direction for MFYS as well as oversee effective governance, financial and risk management for the organisation. The Board is the custodian of the organisation's vision and mission and exercises stewardship over its funding arrangements to ensure continued provision of services to the community over the long-term.
The Board meets monthly (with the exception of December and January). It is expected that Board members will also sit as a members of Board Sub-Committees, as appropriate.
The Role An opportunity has arisen for at least two Board members to join our experienced and dedicated Board with a particular focus on candidates with sector experience and/or fundraising/marketing skills.
At least one position has been designated as requiring an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person for the role.
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in senior leadership, ideally within the not for profit sector.
