Training has been developed to empower and equip volunteers to work alongside one another to build a safe and welcoming space where BATS visitors can browse, chat and shop and feel welcomed, heard, valued and respected. Volunteers play a critical role in creating this experience and each volunteer's strengths will contribute to the growth and development of the BATS and Drop-in-Centre.

All volunteers participate in on-site training in the skills needed to work in the shop. Child Protection Training and Work Place Health and Safety training are provided through the Brisbane Diocese.

This is a volunteering activity that can make a significant difference to people's lives.
