Lucia* is an outgoing, social, and independent woman who loves to laugh. She enjoys watching Netflix, getting out in the garden, knitting, cooking and watching wrestling. Lucia would prefer a mature female volunteer who has a happy go lucky personality, is a good conversationalist and is ok to be around cats.

To start with Lucia* would like to spend some time getting to know each other over refreshments, then progress to other activities such as a walk, cooking together or going out for a drive. The volunteer will need to have access to a car to take Lucia and her 4 wheel walker out for community activities.

As a valued member of the social support team, you will have access to. ongoing training and development opportunities, the chance to meet new people and develop new skills, the support of a dedicated volunteer coordinator who will assist you throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.

Please note that during COVID-19 this role will commence over the phone, which will enable you to establish rapport and connection with Lucia and enable her tostay connected to the community.
