Youth Driver Mentor (Bassendean)

RYDE is a program to support young people facing barriers in obtaining their license to complete 50 legitimate hours of quality supervised practice in a safe vehicle and a safer attitude towards driving.

All young people involved in the program will have gone through requirements to ensure basic driving ability, and will be provided mentoring in order to complete the 50 hours of compulsory supervised driving hours. All driving will be completed in a RYDE program vehicle.

The benefits of becoming a Volunteer Mentor for the RYDE Program are: (1) You will gain experience working with young people, (2) You will be satisfied in knowing that you are able to make a difference in the lives of young people in the program, (3) You will be a recognised member of the Town of Bassendean Volunteer Program, (4) Induction and training will be provided, and (5) All out of pocket expenses for training and selection criteria will be covered by the program
