Position Context

Founded in 1893, Walford Anglican School for Girls is located 4km South of the Adelaide CBD.

Our vision is to be a globally pre-eminent school for girls where learning flourishes and our mission is to empower young women to participate with confidence, courage and compassion in our global world through an inspired education.

We are seeking expressions of interest from highly motivated and suitably qualified applicants who are willing to lead our sporting programs during the 2022 Summer and Winter Sport seasons across our Junior, Middle and Senior School.

Activities include Athletics, Swimming, Strength and Conditioning, Cricket, Softball, TeeBall, Water Polo, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Rowing, AFL, Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Netta, and Badminton.

To be successful in this position, the ideal applicant will possess the following attributes:

• Previous experience in coaching and/or playing in their chosen sport of application.

• High levels of communication, planning and organisational skills.

• Sound proficiencies in using technology and IT skills.

• Attention to detail and punctuality.

• Ability to work autonomously but also in a team environment.

• Supportive and ability to develop positive inter-personal connections with students and coaches.

All applicants must hold and have completed:

• Relevant Coaching Qualification – Community or Level 1 accreditation.

• Current First Aid including CPR.

• Working with Children Check.

• Protective Practices certification.

• Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certification.

• Disability Standards online training for Education.
