SciWorld is a not-for-profit community organisation looking for a volunteer professional to join the board.
SciWorld is dedicated to inspiring and engaging young South Australians with science, technology, engineering and mathematics with a diverse range of activities including scientific history and displays, STEM incursion, science outreach programs and events for school students and the general public.
SciWorld has a particular focus on bringing interactive science experiences to disadvantaged young people and communities, whether this disadvantage is of a geographical or socio-economic nature. We essentially concentrate on the years R - 7 for most of our school-based programs but have identified a growing need for programs relevant to high school students.
The board has established various sub-committees which Board members contribute to.
Meetings are held bi-monthly and can be attended either in person or by video-conference (MS Teams).
