Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love.

Ed describes himself as quiet, pleasant, easy to talk to and humorous. Ed enjoys arts and crafts, colouring and playing board games. Uniting are seeking an encouraging and engaging volunteer with shared interests to support Ed* to reconnect with his community.

The selected applicant will have effective communication skills and an ability to creatively reconnect Ed to his interests. Visits may include accompanying Ed on coffee outings, sharing arts and crafts and playing board games. You'll also be open to supporting Ed to improve his skills in using his IPAD. You'll need a valid Australian driver’s license and have access to a car that you will be prepared to transport Ed in during visits. The confidence to work independently is a must.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community. Interested?
