Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspiring new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters
  • Raising awareness of Special Olympics Australia and its work at local and national levels, e.g. by giving talks to groups or seeking photo opportunities with the media
  • Developing new and imaginative fundraising activities, many of which involve organising events

Availability This role will require a minimum of 2 years of attendance for approximately a minimum of 3 - 5 hours per week and attendance at Club LT meetings. You also must be available to work evenings and weekends too.

Essential Requirementsv

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Previous administration or office support experience within a comparable organisation
  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Covid-19 vaccination certificate

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with the Special Olympics Australia accreditation process for clubs
  • Previous experience with a sporting organisation
