Foster carer urgently needed for 14-year boy

Uniting is seeking a carer living in Melbourne metro region, to provide long-term foster care for a 14-year-old male. The child is very connected to his school in Warragul and attends daily. He has complex behavioural support needs and is a kind, loving and playful boy who enjoys trampolining, basketball, singing and riding his scooter. He has experienced significant abuse throughout his early years and he is seeking a caring and warm home environment where he can feel safe and connected to a family who he trusts.

Uniting provides specialised training and ongoing support (i.e. disability support, carer support, educational support etc). as well as regular respite care. Although this is a voluntary role, a Carer Allowance and significant supports will be provided for care, meaning all family situations/commitments can be considered including those who work full-time.
