Hub Connector Volunteer

In March 2022, a new program called Hub Connections will commence at Morley Library, which opens Monday to Saturday.

We are looking for people with empathy who can be generous with their time, to become volunteer Hub Connectors, to engage, interact and connect vulnerable people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to services and information.

To express an interest in becoming a volunteer Hub Connector, please click on the Express Interest button below. You will then be added to the City of Bayswater's database and sent a Hub Connector Expression of Interest pack to complete. Expressions of interest close on Thursday 27 January 2022.

The volunteer Hub Connector role would suit people who have a community service background or; Psychology/OT/Social Work/Cert IV Mental Health students seeking experience with vulnerable people from all walks of life.

We would love to hear from you if you can:

• demonstrate excellent communication and listening skills

• show empathy and have a non-judgemental attitude

• volunteer for 4-8 hours a fortnight with a commitment of one year


• connect and give back to the community

• develop your practical counselling skills

• develop trauma informed engagement approaches

• increase emotional intelligence capacity through self-awareness

• pursue further career opportunities in this area
