Are you someone who's interested in managing an extraordinary book club that helps bring people together to discover themes, cultures and stories inspired by people and places in the real world?
By managing the ShelterBox Book Club you will not only help people discover new titles but directly help disaster-hit families with every book we read.
If you like books, like meeting new people, have the ability to research titles that relate to our work, and host a 6-weekly book club, we'd love to hear from you.
You must be reliable, have good communication skills (Facebook posts and Zoom hosting) and a willingness to engage with new people.
The key aims of the Book Club Manager role is -
- help engage with our online community (posting on the FB page, responding to comments)
- encourage online discussion
- increase our membership
- host a meeting every 6-weeks.
Our 6-weekly meetings are a fun way to get together (online) and connect, chat about the book, it's themes and sometimes hear from the author or a member of the ShelterBox team who might have travelled to where the book is set.
