Uniting AgeWell's Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love.

Utilise and develop your group facilitation skills, while supporting people to build valuable connections and enjoy group activities as part of their social goals. The lunch outing takes place at various venues in the Wyndham area on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. The role will require you to facilitate conversation and engage with people attending the outing.

You will have good communication skills, respect for diversity and support a positive interaction between participants in the group. Be prepared to provide participants with transport assistance to/from the outing. A current driver’s license and your own road worthy vehicle (able to accommodate a four wheel walker) are essential. Demonstrate the skills and confidence to work independently as well as in a team environment.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator who will assist you throughout your volunteer journey.
