Seeking volunteers to support clients in Melton and Bacchus Marsh Shires by providing them with access to Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies program social and material aid by:
• Driving to collect food in bulk amounts, assisting with the packing and delivery of food boxes to families.
• Assisting in the collection and distribution of material aid to families when requested.
• Redistributing resources as needed to other organisations such as to a local kitchen in Melton or Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
Vehicle will be provided. Collection and distribution is contactless with a message sent to mothers to let them know their food box is outside for collection. The position involves physical work including bending, walking and lifting boxes up to 4kgs, driving back from foodbank in Yarraville and then around Melton and Bacchus Marsh.
The volunteer program provides volunteers with full training and orientation in a supportive team environment, free car parking, uniforms, on-site coordinators, position descriptions and volunteer recognition events.
