Westmead Hospital is a very large hospital and volunteer guides are based at the 2 main entries to assist outpatients and visitors with directions to their destination. Guide volunteers must be interested in interacting with the public; be able to deal with occasional stressful situations; be physically fit enough to stand &\or walk much of the day.

Each guide is rostered 1 full day per week, Mon - Fri (holidays etc can be accommodated) in a team of approx 5 guides per day. Training & induction is provided.

Benefits: Volunteers become part of the overall Westmead Hospital Volunteer team. On rostered days, volunteers are provided with validated parking, a lunch voucher, and are covered by insurance while on duty. A uniform is provided. Guides receive training, induction and ongoing support. In addition to regular duties, volunteers are invited to social occasions and are recognised for their service.
