The YCW is a volunteer-run organisation open to people of all faith backgrounds. The YCW aims to involve young people in actions to address their own issues and empower them as leaders in their communities.

The YCW is a volunteer-run organisation open to people of all faith backgrounds. The YCW aims to involve young people in actions to address their own issues and empower them as leaders in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting the Program Coordinator to run the program on a weekly basis.
  2. Leading to ensure the participants have done onsite registration and looking after the venue during the session
  3. Assist the resource person in running the cooking session, as and when required
  4. Support in set up and pack down, meal service, clean up
  5. Support the Program Coordinator in promoting the program in the local area

Skills, experience and attributes:

  1. Event Management Skill
  2. Commitment to social justice principles.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  4. A team player, strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with young volunteers.
  5. Happy to work independently and in a team environment

Other Requirements: (or willing to complete within 2 months from start day)

  1. Working With Children Check
  2. Police Check
  3. Drivers Licence
  4. Complete Volunteer Information Form
  5. Complete Volunteer Acknowledgement and Agreement Form

Commitment:

Regular - More than 6 months preferable Able to attend online meetings and team-building meet-ups.

Day and Time:

Fixed Friday night (every fortnightly) and other flexible weekdays 2 days per week (flexible hours, spread over multiple days possible)

Certification of Volunteering

Certification of participation and contribution will be provided upon consistent participation.
