The KBH Brumbies Hockey Club is looking for volunteers who are keen to contribute their time assisting them in running some of the key parts of the club.

In addition, the Australian government has recently introduced for not-for-profit organisations, a paid volunteer scheme for those close to retirement age. KBH Brumbies Hockey Club has qualified to receive this funding. We can assist those above 55 to receive payment for "volunteering" at the club.

KBH Hockey Club is seeking people to fill several volunteer positions. These positions include, but are not restricted to;

  1. Canteen
  2. Canteen Manager
  3. Game Day operations
  4. Duty Manager on match days - assist in opening up/locking up etc.
  5. Any other role which you have a skill set needed at the club

Each position would involve approximately 15 hours per week over a 30-week hockey session.

Some of these roles may be eligible to be paid via a paid volunteer scheme for not-for-profit organisations through the Australian government. To qualify for this paid role by the government, volunteer work you must meet the following criteria. • Not currently working • Aged between 55 and 67 • Currently not claiming a pension, whether that be aged, disability or a super pension. NB superannuation can be in the accumulation phase.
